Who we are

What we collect

• Contact taps. When you tap Call, SMS, Messenger, WhatsApp or Email on a listing, we record which listing, which button, the time, and the campaign name if you arrived from one of our adverts. We do not record who you are or your IP address.
• A session cookie (pr_sid) so one tap is not counted twice. It holds a random number and is deleted when you close your browser.
• Listing views. We count how many times each listing is opened, per day. The count is not linked to you.
• Searches, as anonymous counts. When you search, we note what was searched for (for example “rent, house, Gordons”), whether anything was found, and whether you used a phone or a computer. Nothing that identifies you is stored with it. We use these to show agents what people are looking for, and in a monthly market report.
• Pages you open. We note each page you open, with the time, your device type and whether you came from Facebook, Google or another site. To count how many different people visit, your browser makes up a random number, keeps it in its own storage until the end of the month and then replaces it; we store that number with the pages, and a second random number that lasts until you close the tab, so the pages of one visit can be grouped. Neither is a cookie, and neither is linked to your name, email, account or IP address (which we do not store). We delete these page records after 90 days and keep only daily and monthly totals. Pages you open while signed in to an account are not recorded. We use this to see which parts of the site people use, and visit counts appear in the monthly market report.
• Saves. When you save a listing we add one to that listing’s count. Your saved list itself stays in your own browser.
• Messages you send. If you use “Send a message” on a listing, we keep your name, phone number, optional email and your message, and pass them to the agency that listed the property, by email and in their enquiries inbox, so they can reply to you. To limit spam we count messages per IP address and phone number in the server’s memory only; this is never saved, and is cleared when the server restarts.
• Saved listings are kept in your own browser only. We never see them.

Agencies and agents

If you register an agency or are added as an agent, we keep your name, email, phone and WhatsApp numbers, job title, any photo or logo you upload, and the listings you publish. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email; a cookie (pr_session) keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.

Owners listing their own property

If you register as a private owner, we keep your name, email, phone and WhatsApp numbers and the listings you publish. Your name, phone, WhatsApp number and email are shown on your live listings so people can contact you, and we email you a monthly summary of how your listings did (you can switch it off under My details). Your details are not shown on an agency page.

The market email

If you sign up for the monthly market email at the bottom of the site, we keep your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and the last month we sent. We first send one email asking you to confirm, and nothing else until you do. Every market email has an Unsubscribe link, and email apps that show their own Unsubscribe button use it too. After you unsubscribe we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so it is never sent to again; to have it deleted completely, email us at the address below.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data or show advertising from other companies. Once an agency has your message, how it uses your details is between you and the agency. To have your enquiry deleted, email us at the address below.

Other services

Maps are loaded from OpenFreeMap, which receives your IP address to send map images. Fonts and photos are served from our own server. When a listing has a video or a 360° tour, it is played from YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode), Facebook, Matterport or Kuula, which receive your IP address when it loads.
